‍On the evening of November 9, 2024, officers from the Bear Valley Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious person at 29701 Jamaica Dunes. Upon arrival, officers identified and detained a juvenile suspect involved in a theft from a motor vehicle. During the investigation, officers discovered burglary tools and several stolen items in the suspect's possession, linking the juvenile to previous thefts.

The suspect, a 16-year-old resident of Bear Valley, is also connected to additional motor vehicle burglary and an attempted motor vehicle theft. Law enforcement is seeking a criminal filing against the suspect for receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools.

Bear Valley Police Department is in the process of notifying the rightful owners of the recovered property. The investigation is ongoing, and officers are working to determine if the juvenile acted independently in these incidents.
