Solid Waste Transfer Station

At the heart of Bear Valley Springs waste management is our Solid Waste Transfer Station, located conveniently next to the BVCSD offices at 28999 South Lower Valley Road. This is where residents can properly dispose of household trash, green waste, and manure.

Hours of Operation

  • Monday: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Transfer Station accepts four types of waste: Organic, Recycling, Household Trash, and Green Waste. Please make sure all waste is properly sorted before bringing it to the Transfer Station.

Green Waste & Manure:

  • Livestock manure
  • Lawn clippings
  • Leaves & weeds
  • Branches (not exceeding 4" in diameter)
  • Garden trimmings

Note: Green Waste regulations limit disposal to 3 cubic yards per parcel, per day.

Contractors must provide a manifest, signed by the homeowner, identifying the property of origin and contents of the waste.

Items Not Accepted at the Transfer Station

Bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, appliances, tires, electronic waste, construction and demolition debris, household hazardous waste, and waste from commercial sources are not accepted at our facility. These items should be dropped off at the Tehachapi Landfill.
