Q: How is construction waste handled? 

New construction is not permitted to use transfer station because our we are not permitted to accept construction debris. You must rent a dumpster or self haul to Tehachapi Landfill.

Q: How can I ensure that I am listed as the owner of a new construction property? 

To make sure you are listed as the owner, please contact Public Works at 661-821-4428 extension 3902. They will guide you through the process and gather the necessary information.

Q: What should I do if I need to provide a Deed for the new construction property? 

If a Deed is required, our staff will inform you during the verification process. Please have the Deed ready for submission when requested.

Q: Is there a deposit required for the new construction process? 

Yes, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is required. Once you contact Public Works and provide the necessary information, they will instruct you on how to make the deposit.

Q: How will my name and mailing address be verified for the new construction property? 

During the verification process, our staff will verify your name and mailing address. This helps ensure accurate documentation and correspondence regarding the new construction. Please provide the required information as instructed.

Q: What happens after I make the non-refundable deposit? 

Once your non-refundable deposit is received, you can expect a phone call within 2 business days to schedule an appointment for signing. This call will confirm the details and finalize the necessary paperwork.

Q: Is a notary available for the signing process? 

Yes, we offer a free in-house notary service for the signing process. This ensures that the necessary documents are properly notarized and legally binding.

Q: How long does it take to complete the signing process after the deposit is made? 

Once the deposit is received, you can expect a phone call within 2 business days to schedule the signing appointment. The exact timeframe may vary depending on scheduling availability.
